Interview: Jill Scott

Jill Scott is on hitting the promotional rounds for her upcoming September 27th film Baggage Claim and the just recently stopped by Hot 97 for an interview with Cipha Sounds and Peter Rosenberg for their Juan Epstein podcast series. During their conversation, Jill talks about what her film Baggage Claim is about and  finding A$AP Rocky and Future attractive.

In addition, Jilly from Philly opens up about breaking into music, how she ended up writing The Roots "You Got Me" which featured Erykah Badu, originally working at Jazzy Jeff’s studio actually staining the wood lobby, getting beat tape from producer Andre Harris (of Dre & Vidal) that featured the instrumentals for "A Long Walk,""The Way," "Slowly Surely," in addition to the last time she got into a fist fight. Jill also begins to open up about the much to do about Block Party performance with Badu before the 10 minute preview of her forthcoming interview gets cut off.

Watch it all go down after the jump and lookout for the full interview hopefully later this week/end.
