New Joint: "Whole Damn Year" (Mary J. Blige)
Yesterday, Mary J. Blige debuted a new joint from her forthcoming album The London Sessions in the form of "Whole Damn Year" and while some of Mary's previous studio work hasn't received the critical and commercial acclaim it warrants, I am hopeful that her new move with Capital Records will prove fruitful.
With that said, "Whole Damn Year" refreshen's Mary J. Blige's sound a bit, giving her a live instrumentation to play her voice off of that is reminiscent of some of the sounds coming from the current UK wave of soulsters. Co-written by Emeli Sandé, "Whole Damn Year" is a solid mid-tempo from Mary J. Blige and yyou can take a listen to it below!
