The first single lifted from the Black Nativity soundtrack is Jennifer Hudson, Forest Whitaker and Jacob Latimore's take on the classic Walter Hawkins testament "Be Grateful. While the film Black Nativity stars Jacob Latimore, Jennifer Hudson, Forest Whitaker & Angela Bassett and hits theaters on November 27th, you can preorder the official soundtrack to Black Nativity at iTunes on October 15th and instantly receive "Be Grateful."
With that said, Forest Whitaker leads off this rendition of "Be Grateful" before Jennifer Hudson takes up the rafters to a higher place with her anointed vocals. While Forest and Jacob add their two cents to this version of "Be Grateful," I really hope that there will be a bonus version on the soundtrack that just features Jennifer's sublime vocals. Either way it ends up, take a listen to "Be Grateful" after the jump and lookout for the official soundtrack to Black Nativity when it's released on November 5th!
