Second Listen: "Nobody's Supposed to Be Here" (Deborah Cox)
Back in 1998, Deborah Cox released her biggest single to date, "Nobody's Supposed to Be Here," which was lifted from her platinum-selling sophomore album One Wish.
Written by Montell Jordan and Anthony "Shep" Crawford, "Nobody's Supposed to Be Here" reached the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 on September 29, 1998. It then peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 on November 24, 1998 and spent eight weeks there, making it one of the longest stays at No. 2 for any single in the chart's history and the highest-peaking single of Cox's career.
With that said, with more attention on Deborah Cox due to her involvement in the Whitney lifetime biopic, I thought it would be nice to revisit her biggest hit "Nobody's Supposed to Be Here" below!
