With all the talk that has been surrounding the Lifetime Aaliyah biopic, somehow, I stumbled upon this sublime mashup of Aaliyah's "Are You That Somebody" and Ciara's "Body Party."
Riffing on the Timbaland crafted beat for "Are You That Somebody" and riffing a bit on the Mike Will Made It production of "Body Party," the vocals are all from Ciara, but the mashed-up instrumentation really brings "Are You That Somebody" back into 2014, even though it's an evergreen classic in my book.
