Playback: "Opportunity" (Quvenzhané Wallis)

I saw the remake of Annie last week and I must say that the film seems to of gotten a bad rap as Quvenzhané Wallis burns through the screen as Annie and the new narrative of the film is extremely powerful and relevant in my opinion.

With that said, during one of the apex's of the remake, Quvenzhané performs a stunning new song that was co-written for the 2014 remake by Sia. Entitled "Opportunity," it is a beautiful ballad that how a touching meaning and offers an emotional moment during the course of the film.

Therefore, take a playback to Quvenzhané Wallis's sublime take on "Opportunity" below and Enjoy!

Live Clip: "Elastic Heart" (Sia)

Earlier this week, Sia appeared on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live and performed several of her hits for the crowd gathered out in Hollywood. As always, Sia likes to remain a bit hidden during her televised performances and this performance of "Elastic Heart" was no different as she sat down with her back facing the crowd as she belted out The Hunger Games song.

With that said, take a few minutes to watch Sia's interesting and artistic performance of "Elastic Heart" below and lookout for her forthcoming album 1000 Forms of Fear when its released this coming Tuesday, July 8th.

New Video: "Chandelier" (Sia)

Yesterday, the official video for Sia's lead single "Chandelier" from her forthcoming album 1000 Forms of Fear debuted with a familiar face to some, Maddie Ziegler, the 11-year-old star of Lifetime's Dance Moms.

Directed by Sia and Daniel Askill, the official video for "Chandelier" featured Maddie in a bob similar to that of Sia's while offering  up a routine that's a bit of a departure from the party inspired hook.

With that said, watch the official video for "Chandelier" below and lookout for the release of 1000 Forms of Fear later this summer.

New Joint: "Elastic Heart" (Sia ft. The Weeknd)

The biggest commercially viable film this fall is hands down The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and ahead of the blockbuster's release, Sia's The Weeknd assisted and Diplo produced joint "Elastic Heart" has hit the net from the star-studded accompanying soundtrack.

Featuring a solid verse from The Weekdnd, the clear standout for me on this joint has to be Sia's soaring vocals on top of Diplo's brilliantly produced mid-tempo track for "Elastic Heart." With that said, take a listen below to "Elastic Heart" and if you like what you hear, lookout for the soundtrack to The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, when it's release November 19th with additional contributions from The Weeknd, Christina Aguilera, Santigold, Lorde and Coldplay.

Listen to Sia, The Weeknd and Diplo's powerful collaboration of "Elastic Heart" below and Enjoy!

Live Clip: "Diamonds" (Brandy)

Rihanna's latest #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 has been covered by numerous artists and besides Sia's sublime interpretation of the song she co-wrote, Brandy hands down offers up the best interpretation I've heard and she does it in less than 25 seconds! With that said, watch Brandy "put it down" vocally on "Diamonds" while she was backstage getting ready for a recent show and Enjoy!

While Sia wrote Rihanna's latest #1 hit, I have been waiting for her to offer her own take as Sia is not just a beast on the pen but also on the microphone. New Joint: "Blank Page" (Christina Aguilera)

Co-written with Sia and Chris Braide, Christina Aguilera's "Blank Page" was released earlier today and the sparse instrumentation of the powerful ballad from Aguilera proves once again why she is heralded as "The Voice" of our generation. Letting her voice take centerstage, Christina Aguilera's voice fills in all the empty space left by the simplistic and beautiful accompaniment and underscores her powerful pipes that are sometimes forgotten in a landscape where "voiceless" singers seem to be topping the charts. With that said, take a listen to the emotive and powerful "Blank Page" below and Enjoy!
