Live Video of the Day: "Soul Train Babyface Tribute"

Earlier tonight, the 2015 Soul Train Awards telecast aired simultaneously on Centric and BET and the highlight of the night had to be the Babyface tribute which included a laundry list of hit singles he's written and produced for others as well as a finale that included Babyface himself.

Featured on the piano, Babyface accompanied the majority of the acts who honored him including Tevin Campbell on "Can We Talk," Brandy on "Sittin' Up In My Room," Fantasia on both the Whitney Houston classic "Exhale (Shoop Shoop) and Karyn White "Superwoman," Bobby Brown, and Boyz II Men who offered up a medley of some of their greatest hits.

Babyface closed it out with a rousing rendition of "Whip Appeal" and you can watch it all go down below!

New Video: "We've Got Love" (Babyface)

Earlier this week, the legendary Babyface released a new video for his single "We've Got Love," and while I am a few days late, as I always say, better late than never.

Lifted from his forthcoming album Return of the Tender Lover, slated for release on December 4th via Def Jam Records, Babyface’s new album will be his tenth studio album and is said to pay homage to his breakthrough 1989 album Tender Lover.

Second Listen: "Where Did We Go Wrong" (Toni Braxton & Babyface)

When Toni Braxton and Babyface reunited for a duets album entitled Love, Marriage & Divorce last year, it felt as though two of R&B's heavyweights were coming together to announce to the world that R&B is alive and well despite claims of it's death.

With that said, the set's second single was the underrated "Where Did We Go Wrong," which Babyface and Toni co-wrote with the former in the roll of producer. Released at the end of 2013, the song never fully received the single's treatment and failed to impact any major charts on Billboard. Despite coming up short regarding single success, Love, Marriage & Divorce would go onto win the Best R&B Album at the 2015 GRAMMY Awards.

Cut: "When You Believe" (Whitney Houston & Mariah Carey)

I had on my Whitney Houston playlist last night and one of the highlights from it has to be Houston's collaboration with Mariah Carey on "When You Believe." Originally lifted from The Prince of Egypt soundtrack, the Houston and Carey collaboration is one of epic vocal proportions, showcasing both songbirds' vocal forces.

Written by Stephen Schwartz and produced Babyface, "When You Believe" would earn Schwartz an Academy Award and is sometimes a forgotten gem in both Carey's and Houston's discography. With that said, take a listen to this cut below and Enjoy!

New Joint: "We've Got Love" (Babyface)

2015 has been a great year so far regarding "comebacks" as Janet Jackson and Dr. Dre have returned from musical abyss and now it's somewhat Babyface's turn. While he came back with 2014's Love, Marriage, & Divorce in 2014 with his own solo song on the collaborative album with Toni Braxton,

it is nice to hear new music, which is lifted from his forthcoming 10th studio album Return of the Tender Lover, which is slated for release later this year.

While Babyface has kept himself busy as an in-demand producer for the likes of Ariana Grande, Beyoncé, and Jordin Sparks, it is nice to hear him back in front of the mic as he is truly a talented singer/songwriter.

Babyface and Toni Braxton released their Motown collaborative album Love, Marriage, & Divorce last year and one of my favorite cuts from the GRAMMY-winning album has to be "Take It Back."

Featuring a breezy instrumentation, the lyrics and vocals of the song are able to take centerstage of the Babyface, Toni, Daryl Simmons and Antonio Dixon co-written track. While it is unclear if "Take It Back" will serve as a single or not from Love, Marriage, & Divorce, I hope it is given single consideration as the acoustic guitar-led track is a true standout from the album.

With that said, take a listen below to "Take It Back" and if you haven't checked out Love, Marriage, & Divorce, there is no time like the present in my book!

Live Video of the Day: "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" (Ariana Grande & Babyface)

During last night's telecast of the GRAMMY Salute to Stevie Wonder, one of the highlights of the night for me was Ariana Grande and Babyface's sublime cover of one of Stevie's classic hits "Signed, Sealed, Delivered."

Offering up an acoustic take, it truly allowed us to enjoy the vocal stylings of both Babyface and Ariana Grande while offering up a fresh take on such an evergreen classic jam. Watch the duo's sublime performance of "Signed, Sealed, Delivered" below and Enjoy!

Earlier this year, Babyface and Toni Braxton appeared on ABC's Good Morning America to promote their then just release collaborative album Love, Marriage, & Divorce and during their time on the show, the duo opened up about working together and performed their single "Where Did We Go Wrong?"

Back in 1989, Babyface released his sophomore album Tender Lover and his album exploded selling in excess of 3 million copies in the US alone and spurred four top 5 R&B hits including "Whip Appeal." In addition to peaking at #2 on the R&B charts, the single was then his largest pop crossover hit peaking at #6 on the Hot 100,.

Back in 1993, Toni Braxton released her self-titled debut album Toni Braxton and the second official single from the effort was the Babyface penned ballad "Breathe Again."

Eventually peaking at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #4 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, the song went on to become Braxton's most successful song from her debut album and would earn her the 1995 Grammy Award for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance, after "Another Sad Love Song," won her the same award the year before.

Interview: Toni Braxton & Babyface

Toni Braxton and Babyface's collaborative album Love, Marriage, & Divorce has really struck a cord with music listeners and while the album has already spurred the #1 hit "Hurt You," I am sure more of their singles will continue to rise up the charts as the effort is a solid body of work and I am sure will be tipped for a few Grammy nominations, if not wins during the 2015 ceremony.

With that said, ThisIsRnB recently caught up with the R&B duo before they began their limited engagement in the Broadway hit musical After Midnight, which will continue until March 30th and during their brief interview the duo talked about their new album and Babyface also revealed that he thinks Toni's next album should be one full of standards and he is down to co-produce it.

Yesterday, Toni Braxton and Babyface stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to promote their collaborative album that was released last month on Motown.

Following promotional appearances on Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club, ABC's Good Morning America and late night's Conan, the legendary R&B icons performed their Billboard Adult R&B #1 hit single "Hurt You," which is lifted from their duets album Love, Marriage & Divorce.

Yesterday, Toni Braxton and Babyface appeared on Conan to promote their new collaborative album Love, Marriage & Divorce and during their time on the TBS late night show, the duo performed their #1 hit single "Hurt You."

With all of the promo that Toni and Babyface have been doing, their collaborative album is slated to debut at #4 tomorrow on the Billboard Top 200 Album Charts with sales of 67,063 copies.

With that said, watch the duo croon out "Hurt You" from Conan last night and if you haven't checked out their album Love, Marriage & Divorce, it's worth a listen and a purchase in my opinion.
