Today marks the NBC Upfronts andMariah Carey's forthcoming E! docuseries Mariah's World was unveiled to advertisers.

Mariah's World  will feature eight one-hour episodes that follow Carey as she goes on her latest world tour the Sweet Fantasy tour in addition to planning  her wedding to James Packer.

Live Clip: "When You Believe" (Mariah Carey & Whiney Houston)

Mariah kicked off her European Sweet Fantasy Tour earlier this week and during her show in Glasgow, Mariah took the time to honor her late friend and former collaborator Ms. Whitney "The Voice" Houston.

Having performed "When You Believe" live twice with Houston, once during The Oprah Winfrey Show and the other at the Oscars, it was nice to hear Mariah singing with Houston again despite Whitney's absence. With that said, watch this touching clip below and Enjoy!

Back in 1991, Mariah Carey released her sophomore album Emotions and the second single from her album was the powerhouse ballad "Can't Let Go," which would go onto peak at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Written by Mariah Carey and Walter Afanasieff, "Can't Let Go" is one of those hits that sometimes gets forgotten amongst Mariah's discography that is brimming over with #1s.

Rare Performance: "Anytime You Need A Friend" (Mariah Carey)

Back in 1993, Mariah Carey released her future diamond-certified album Music Box and to help promote the album, Carey held an intimate performance at Proctor's Theater and performed her future fourth single "Anytime You Need A Friend."

While the song peaked at #12 on the Billboard Hot 100, it is an often forgotten about Carey classic and this rare performance of a younger Mariah Carey cooing it out is on point to say the least. With that said, watch her powerful performance of "Anytime You Need A Friend" below as we celebrate a new peak for Mariah's holiday classic "All I Want For Christmas Is You" on the Billboard Hot 100 (#11).

As I've stated before Mariah Carey is synonymous with Christmas music for me and with that in mind, her duet version to her Christmas jam "When Christmas Comes" from 2011 is of course in featured on my holiday playlist around this time of year.

Originally lifted from 2010 Christmas album Merry Christmas II You, in solo form, "When Christmas Comes" featuring John Legend is a great addition to Carey's vast Christmas discography and you can get better acquainted with it below as we enter into the stretches of the holiday season.

Trailer: "A Christmas Melody" (Mariah Carey)

When I think of the holidays, Mariah Carey's name is synonymous with Christmas cheer. With that said, the festive diva is gearing up to release her directorial debut A Christmas Melody next month on the Hallmark Channel, and she not only directs but stars in the forthcoming Christmas film, which is slated for release December 19th.

While I am unsure if I have the Hallmark Channel myself, Carey's upcoming A Christmas Melody gives me a reason to scan the channels to see. The film centers on  Kristen (Lacey Chabert Mean Girls), a divorced clothing designer, and her young daughter. Mariah plays her former high school rival Melissa, who is president of the PTA.

Been getting back into some Mariah Carey as of late and her 2005 "comeback" album The Emancipation of Mimi has been on repeat and I thought we'd revisit one of my favorite joints from the album.

The album brought Mariah Carey much commercial and critical success, and one of the standout cuts from the album for me has to be her James "Big Jim" Wright co-written and produced joint "I Wish You Knew."

The throwback vibe of the record mixed with Carey's Grammy-winning vocals and pen crafted a timeless joint and my book and you can take a listen to it after the jump!

Second Listen: "Someday" (Mariah Carey)

Back in 1990, Mariah Carey released her debut self-titled album Mariah Carey and the set's third single was the Ric Wake produced "Someday," which Carey co-wrote with Ben Margulies. Released as third single, the jackswing-influenced track topped the U.S. charts, becoming Carey's third consecutive number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100.

As 2015 marks the celebration of the 25th anniversary of Mariah Carey's self-titled debut album, I thought it would be appropriate to revisit this classic hit from Mariah's discography that is often forgotten about amidst her myriad of #1 hits. Therefore, take a listen below to "Someday" and Enjoy!

Second Listen: "My All" (Mariah Carey)

Back in 1998, Mariah Carey released Butterfly (1997)'s fifth single"My All" which she co-wrote and produced with Walter Afanasieff. Built around Latin guitar chord melodies, "My All" makes subtle use of Latin percussion throughout the first chorus, before taking on a more conventional contemporary R&B-style beat and was inspired after Mariah took a trip to Puerto Rico, where she was influenced by the culture.

"My All" would become Mariah's thirteenth chart topper on the Billboard Hot 100, and was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). With that said, it is still one of my favorite songs from Mariah Carey's discography and you can take a second listen to it below!

I was listening to Mariah Carey's third studio album Music Box last night and I thought it would be appropriate to revisit one of my all-time-favorite jams by Mariah Carey, which happens to be the fourth and final single lifted from Music Box.

Entitled "Anytime You Need A Friend," this Mariah Carey and Walter Afanasieff creation would go into peak at #12 on the Billboard Hot 100 and features background vocals from Kelly Price and Melonie Daniels. Featuring powerhouse vocals from Mariah Carey and a gospel undertone that fits perfectly with the blend of pop and R&B, "Anytime You Need A Friend" is one of those classic MC joints that just never gets old.

Amazing Cover: "My All" (Y'akoto)

German singer  Y'akoto performed a sublime rendition of Mariah Carey's "My All" back in 2011 that I continue to revisit on the regular due to her amazing interpretation that pays tribute to Carey's melody while changing it to make it her own.

While some singers attempt to match Carey's phenomenal vocal acrobatics, Y'akoto made the song her own and really sang it in a way that lent new meaning to the torch ballad.  Check out Y'akoto's amazing cover below and is it just me or are her vocals reminiscent of Nina Simone? I had on my Whitney Houston playlist last night and one of the highlights from it has to be Houston's collaboration with Mariah Carey on "When You Believe." Originally lifted from The Prince of Egypt soundtrack, the Houston and Carey collaboration is one of epic vocal proportions, showcasing both songbirds' vocal forces.

Written by Stephen Schwartz and produced Babyface, "When You Believe" would earn Schwartz an Academy Award and is sometimes a forgotten gem in both Carey's and Houston's discography. With that said, take a listen to this cut below and Enjoy!
