New Joint: "I Stand Alone" (Robert Glasper Experiment ft. Common & Patrick Stump)

After winning a Grammy Award for Best R&B Album earlier this year for Black Radio, the Robert Glasper Experiment are set to release the official sequel, Black Radio 2, on October 29th. With less than a month to go until it's release, a new single "I Stand Alone" has hit the net following the Jill Scott assisted "Calls."

Featuring some solid verses from Common and a dope chorus via Fall Out Boy's lead vocalist Patrick Stump, "I Stand Alone also features academic Michael Eric Dyson at the end of the track discussing the the value in originality during the age of mechanical reproduction.

With that said, take a listen after the jump to "I Stand Alone" and lookout for Black Radio 2 on October 29th as the set offers up another dope line-up this time featuring the likes of Brandy, Jill Scott, Dwele, Marsha Ambrosius, Anthony Hamilton, Faith Evans, Norah Jones, Snoop Dogg, Lupe Fiasco, Emeli Sandé and Lalah Hathaway.

Having won a Grammy for their first collaborative album Black Radio, Robert Glasper and the Robert Glasper Experiment are looking to potentially match the success of their last LP with Black Radio 2. Set for an October 26th release, Black Radio 2 will feature collaborations with Common, Brandy, Jill Scott, Dwele, Marsha Ambrosius, Anthony Hamilton, Faith Evans, Norah Jones, Snoop Dogg, Lupe Fiasco, Emeli Sandé and  Lalah Hathaway and I don't know about you, but I can't wait to hear what Black Radio 2 will sound like. New Joint: "They Don’t Know You" (Raphael Saadiq feat. Common & Ledisi)

Back in 2004, Raphael Saadiq was set to released a musical project under the working title "Pookie Blue Moon," with production from Steve Spacek and Morgan Zarate. Though the album never came to see the day of light, one of the tracks from this vaulted collection "They Don't Know You" has hit the net recently featuring some solid vocals from Saadiq and Ledisi, and a good verse from Common. BET Honors: 2012 Preview

Though the BET Honors have already been recorded in Washington DC, the telecast of the event will occur February 13th during Black History Month. With that said, a local DC affiliate  Fox 5 DC gave viewers a preview of the upcoming ceremony which honors the likes of Stevie Wonder, Mariah Carey, The Tuskegee Airmen, Beverly Kearney, Maya Angelou, and Spike Lee. With that said,  Common, Jennifer Hudson, Aretha Franklin, Queen Latifah, Willow Smith, Jill Scott, and First Lady Michelle Obama were among the numerous people paying tribute to the honorees.
