With "A Woman Falling Out Of Love," hitting Walmart shelves exclusively on Tuesday, Franklin has continued to push other projects down the pipeline including the much talked about biopic about the singer's life. While financing for the film has now been secured, the Queen of Soul has added another name to the potential list of stars she would like to cast in her biopic.

Patina Miller, the breakout star from the "Sister Act" musical is said to be on the short list of potential stars who Franklin would like to portray the role of a young Aretha.    “I'm waiting for the script... And there's a new girl in the game now - Whoopi's little girl from 'Sister Act'."    Along with the Patina Miller, Franklin is still keen on American Idol winner Fantasia Barrino and Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson as potential choices for different portrayals of Franklin during different stages in her life.   "There's Fantasia Barrino, there's Jennifer Hudson, and then the producer has some ideas," Franklin states.

While the script for the anticipated biopic has yet to be completed, Franklin has been vocal about wanting several different actresses to be involved in the portrayal of Franklin throughout her career. Time will tell when the project will move into pre-production, but with the momentum that the project has been picking up within the media, I doubt it will be long until a screenplay and several casting decisions are announced.
