Cut: "I Wish You Knew" (Mariah Carey)

Been getting back into some Mariah Carey as of late and her 2005 "comeback" album The Emancipation of Mimi has been on repeat and I thought we'd revisit one of my favorite joints from the album.

The album brought Mariah Carey much commercial and critical success, and one of the standout cuts from the album for me has to be her James "Big Jim" Wright co-written and produced joint "I Wish You Knew."

The throwback vibe of the record mixed with Carey's Grammy-winning vocals and pen crafted a timeless joint and my book and you can take a listen to it after the jump!

  1. Every time we encounter failure and disappointments in life, we run to our friends first rather than to our parents maybe because we are more confident to tell everything to them. Our parent can also be our friend, but sometimes we distance ourselves to them because of fear which should not be in our mindset.
