With Laura Mvula's sublime 2014 Season, Prom 45: Late Night with Laura Mvula, I thought it would be nice to revisit her appearance at the BBC Proms Urban Classic 2013 where she performed a sublime orchestral rendition of my personal favorite "Father, Father," which is originally lifted from her debut album Sing To The Moon.
With that said, Laura's debut album really was meant for bigger arrangements and her latest release, Laura Mvula with Metropole Orkest conducted by Jules Buckley at Abbey Road Studios truly showcases Laura's vocal prowess as well as her musical training.
