Back in 2008, Jill Scott released her second live album Live in Paris and the accompanying live CD/DVD combo proved to be a winner for Scott going to to gold status. With that said, the set is filled with numerous highlights for me and one of those happens to be her powerful performance of "Rasool."
Featured on Jill's sophomore album, 2004's Beautifully Human: Words and Sounds Vol. 2, "Rasool" is a powerful tale that needs to be hear now more than ever as culture seems to be stuck in a moment that Scott was referencing almost a decade ago with the original release of "Rasool."
