Back in 1972 Joe Tex released the classic joint "I Gotcha," which would end up being the first single and the title of his thirteenth album. Though Tex originally recorded the joint in the late 60s and intended to give the song to King Floyd, Floyd never ended up recording it and Tex would later rerecord the joint in 1971 for release. Eventually peaking at #1 on the R&B charts, "I Gotcha" would go on to earn Tex a Grammy nomination for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance in 1983.
