Second Listen: "If You Think You're Lonely Now" (Bobby Womack)


Back in 1981 Bobby Womack released his classic hit  "If You Think You're Lonely Now" from his album "The Poet. Eventually peaking at  #3 on the Hot Soul Singles chart, "If You Think You're Lonely Now" is Womack's most known hit and was even name dropped by Mariah Carey in her smash hit single "We Belong Together."   1. Wow....it's such a great song!!! Never get tired of it after 30 years. The Preacher/Poet laying it down. K-Ci Hailey of Jodeci did a good version to but as Bobby said "The boy can't do my song". I just found out that Bobby Womack put out an autobiography a few years ago. If you are fan and want to hear his life story pick it up.
