Kem is the latest star to join the already impressive lineup of the forthcoming "Sparkle" remake that is currently under production in Detroit. Staring Whitney Houston, Jordin Sparks, Cee-Lo Green, and Mike Epps, Kem has now officially joined the cast and will portray a club owner and Master of Ceremonies, "Buddy." Filming is currently taking place in Detroit, and it should be interesting to see if a possible music collaboration for Whitney's forthcoming LP with Kem could arise from the filming of the movie. This role marks Kem's first official foray into acting and I couldn't pick a better film for the Detroit native to flex his acting muscles in. Lookout for the film to be released towards the end of 2012 just in time for Oscar season!
