Bruno Mars' 2010 debut album "Doo-Wops & Hooligans" has not only provided a solid launching pad for the singer-songwriter who topped the charts with countless hit singles, but also earned the crooner a Grammy Award. While this win will make him inelegible to be nominated for Best New Artist and this year's forthcoming Grammy Awards, the end of 2010 and most of 2011 belong a lot to Mars and one can be sure that his forthcoming sophomore album will garner Mars even more accolades.
With that said, fans of Bruno's can look forward to a possible end of 2012 release for his upcoming sophomore studio album as Mars recently started recording for the project. Per an interview with Ryan Secrest the star opened up about the album a bit.
"I’m kinda jonesin’ to just work,” Mars informed Ryan Seacrest. "I just wanted to start some ideas for this next album.... I want to have fun on this next album,” mentioned Mars who also opened up about why having fun with this next album is so important. "I think that’s the most important key, especially now that I’ve been on the road and am playing a lot of shows. I have a little more of a vision than I think I did with Doo-Wops & Hooligans."
While an official projected release date hasn't been given, one can bet that Mars and his label will likely want to continue the momentum that his debut album laid and therefore I would bet that at least a new single from the album will hit airwaves before the end of 2012!
