Singersroom reported yesterday that D'Angelo's forthcoming third album is in its final stretch of recording. While it's not clear if this album will be titled "James River" as previous reports have indicated, what is clear is that D'Angelo will now release his forthcoming album under RCA Records since the merger of J Records earlier this year. This will mark the first release from the crooner under this label and time will tell if/when the record is released. If as Singersroom is reporting via ?uestlove is correct a 2012 release date would seem realistic. Either way it turns up, stay toon for future updates on the status of this much buzzed about project!
