ReplyDeleteI am sad to say that I had never heard of Bettye Lavette before this performance. Grave injustice. I have watched the actual performance now several times over with tears in my eyes, much like the majority of the audience - even Chaka herself! Agreed, if this comes out on cd, dvd, iTunes single - it's bought! Done and done. Thank you Ms Bettye - simply souled out and amazing!
