Second Listen: "Waterfalls" (TLC)
I don't know about you, but TLC in the news over their final album not shitting their tentative release date, has had me revisiting their discography and of course "Waterfalls" has been in the mix.
With that said, "Waterfalls" was released back in 1995 from the group's highly successful sophomore album CrazySexyCool and would go onto become their second #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.
The song was so huge that it was certified five-times platinum and was the ranked #19 on the Billboard Hot 100's songs of the decade chart for the 1990s. Revisit TLC's sublime joint "Waterfalls" below and Enjoy!

Second Listen: "Unpretty" (TLC)
With the forthcoming Lifetime Aaliayh biopic coming this Sunday, I rewatched Vh1's biopic on TLC entitled CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story and it brought me back to the 90s in a way that I hadn't been in quite some time.
With that said, TLC's "Unpretty" was of course one of the jams I revisted last night thanks to the movie and while it was a #1 hit for the group, becoming their 4th #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, I had sadly forgotten about this joint somehow and was glad that CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story reminded me of its brilliance. With that said, take a listen below to the Dallas Austin and Tionne Watkins penned joint and Enjoy!

A Cappella: "Diggin On You" (Sevyn Streeter)
Sevyn Streeter is definitely an artist to watch as we kick off 2014 as her debut EP "Call Me Crazy, But..." was one of the musical highlights of 2013 for me and hopefully with the momentum she's built with the EP and touring with K. Michelle on her Rebellious Soul Tour, Sevyn will be releasing her debut album later this year.
Already an accomplished songwriter, Sevyn's breakout hit "It Won't Stop" peaked at #30 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming her first top 40 hit, in addition to #9 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
As we close out the holiday season and move into 2014, Sevyn has continued her a cappella R&B classic video postings following up her sublime takes on Aaliyah's "Come One" and Toni Braxton's classic "You Mean The World To Me" with a smooth rendition of the TLC jam "Diggin On You."
With that said, peep the video below as Sevyn chills out during the holidays and lookout for more music from Sevyn as 2014 moves forward.

Project in the Works: KeKe Palmers joins TLC Biopic
Lil' Mama was the first confirmed casting choice for Vh1's forthcoming TLC biopic as Lisa "Left-Eye" Lopes and now KeKe Palmer has been announced to play the role of Rozanda "Chilli" Thomas. Having risen to fame in 2006's "Akeelah and the Bee," KeKe Palmer has been making both acting and singing moves with her career as of late and this seems like a perfect career choice for the budding young-adult starlet. With that said, Drew Sidora has also joined the cast and is slated to play Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins.
With these three ladies in place, filming is slated to begin next month in Atlanta with T-Boz and Chilli serving as both producers and consultants on the TLC biopic. Time will tell how these casting choices fair, but Vh1 seems to of nailed it with the casting of TLC in my book.
