Released as her second single from Moodring, "Fallen" was a nice smooth joint that went rather overlooked back when it was released in 2003. "Fallen" in my opinion was one of Mya's finest records and hopefully her next album will feature more songs in line with "Fallen" instead of the dance/pop trend that a lot of her peers are currently doing.

Either way, take a second listen to her "Fallen" below and hopefully it will encourage you to revisit Mya's phenomenal LP Moodring, as it was such a sublime album from the famed singer/songwriter that warrants further attention in my book.

Second Listen: "Case Of The Ex (Whatcha Gonna Do)" (Mya)

Back in 2000, Mya released "Case Of The Ex (Whatcha Gonna Do)," which was the second official single from her sophomore album Fear of Flying. Written by Christopher "Tricky" Stewart and his songwriting partners Traci Hale and Thabiso "Tab" Nkhereanyne, "Case Of The Ex (Whatcha Gonna Do)" was originally envisioned as a rap song, but clearly things changed.

Released as the second single from the album following the underperforming "The Best of Me," "Case Of The Ex (Whatcha Gonna Do)" would go onto peak at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #10 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. "Case Of The Ex (Whatcha Gonna Do)" was fended off from the number one position on the Billboard Hot 100 by Destiny's Child's “Independent Women Part 1” and is still Mya's biggest hit on the charts.

Who can believe it, by Mya has been in the industry over sixteen years? Still fresh-faced as ever, she released her self-titled debut album Mýa back in 1998 an has been laying a bit low musically for the last few years, though she is back armed with a new single in "Superwoman."

Since parting ways with Universal Motown back in 2008, Mya  has released four independently self-funded, self-executive produced projects Sugar & Spice (2008), Beauty & the Streets Vol. 1 (2010) and K.I.S.S. (2011) and through the celebration of her sixteenth year in the business, she has released her latest project Sweet XVI.

With that said, during her celebration with CR Sole Sessions, Mya took it back to her debut album and performed an acoustic rendition of fan favorite "Moving On." Therefore, watch her sublime performance below and Enjoy!

Mya released a video for her Carib flavored joint "Take Him Out" yesterday and had the blogs abuzz as it had been a long minute since we had seen a visual from Mya, let alone music as her 2011 album  K.I.S.S. was not commercially released here in the States. Featuring dancehall star Spice, the visual for "Take Him Out" shows that Mya still got it in all the right ways and hopefully a major US label can get in-line with her and stage a "comeback" of sorts.
