Cut: "Don't Let Me Down" (Amel Larrieux)
Last night after the verdict came down to not indict Darren Wilson for killing Mike Brown in Ferguson, MO, I wanted to tune out for a moment and decided to go see Beyond The Lights.
With that said, during the film, I was struck by the usage of Amel Larrieux's "Don't Let Me Down" during the film, both for its poignant usage in the film, but also what it means in a larger context with Ferguson and America's justice system.
As we continue to gather our thoughts, emotions. and actions regarding this situation, take a listen below to Amel Larrieux's "Don't Let Me Down."
