Back in 1974, Curtis Mayfield composed and wrote the entire soundtrack to accompany the Academy Award nominated film Claudine. Instead of opting to sing his sublime compositions, Curtis enlisted Gladys Knight & The Pips to bring his songs to life. With that said, one of the standout numbers from this soundtrack was the poignant "The Makings of You" and you can take a first or hopefully second listen below to this solid joint!
