German singer Y'akoto performed a sublime rendition of Mariah Carey's "My All
" back in 2011 that I continue to revisit on the regular due to her amazing interpretation that pays tribute to Carey's melody while changing it to make it her own. While some singers attempt to match Carey's phenomenal vocal acrobatics, Y'akoto made the song her own and really sang it in a way that lent new meaning to the torch ballad. Check out Y'akoto's amazing cover below and is it just me or are her vocals reminiscent of Nina Simone? Either way, watch and Enjoy!
