The Queen of Soul Ms. Aretha Franklin is already a Grammy Legend, inductee of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, a recipient of a Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award, and has countless honorary doctorates from elite universities, but now Ms. Franklin can add inductee into the GMA Gospel Music Hall of Fame. The Queen of Soul was inducted this past Tuesday in a ceremony at the Trinity Music City venue in Hendersonville, Tennessee. Though she was unable to attend in person, Ms. Franklin set a video message to help substitute her absence. While Ms. Franklin is often noted as the Queen of Soul, I think it's right that we also begin/continue (for some) to note her as the Empress of music as her vocal ability spans the entire musical gamete. Either way you feel, a congratulations are clearly in order for Ms. Franklin on her recent induction into the GMA Gospel Music Hall of Fame
