I had the pleasure of seeing "Sparkle" yesterday and R. Kelly did his thing hands down on re-crafting some of Curtis Mayfield's classic in addition to writing several new songs for the film. "One Wing" is just one of Kelly's original contributions and was one of best songs recorded for the film's soundtrack in my opinion. Jordin Sparks turns in a powerhouse vocal performance that we haven't heard from her in a while and I might dare say is her best recorded showing to date.
