Back in 2000,  Mariah Carey released "Thank God I Found You" as the second single from her 1999 hit LP Rainbow and during that year, she also Carey re-recorded her vocals for the song's main remix titled "Thank God I Found You" (Make It Last Remix), which features vocals from Joe and a verse from Nas.

Back in 1996, Nas released It Was Written and one of the classic joints lifted from this LP has to be his collaboration with Ms. Lauryn Hill on "If I Ruled The World (Imagine That)." With that said, a few months ago, I stumbled upon a solid remix via producer/DJ STWO and fellow producer Fitz in the form of "If I Ruled The World (Stwo & Fitz Remix)."

Adding a soulful vibe to the original, STWO and Fitz craft an alternative to the harder original beat via Rashad Smith/Trackmaster. With that said, take a listen after the jump to "If I Ruled The World (Stwo & Fitz Remix)" and if you like what you hear, cop the remix for free while supplies last!

New Joint: "Rise Up Shepherd and Follow" (Mary J. Blige ft. Nas)

While Jennifer Hudson and Jacob Latimore co-star in the forthcoming film Black Navivity, which is slated for release on November 27th, Mary J. Blige and Nas are also featured in the film and have lent their musical talents to the accompanying soundtrack for the film.

Taking on the spiritual "Rise Up Shepherd and Follow," Mary J.'s powerhouse pipes matched with Nas; wordsmith talents offer up a great collaboration that has me intrigued as to what the Black Nativity soundtrack will have in store for us when it's released this coming Tuesday, November 5th. Trailer: "Black Nativity" (Jennifer Hudson, Jacob Latimore)

Langston Hughes' Black Nativity has been adapted into a feature musical starring Jacob Latimore, Jennifer Hudson, Forrest Whitaker, Angela Bassett, Mary J. Blige and Nas, amongst others. With that said, a new official theatrical trailer for the forthcoming November 27th film has hit the net giving viewers a more detailed understanding of exactly what the film is about.

A lot of joints from Melanie Fiona's forthcoming sophomore album have hit the net before the release of "The MF Life" next week. With that said, the majority of what I've heard so far from the album has been solid, offering up lush vocal arrangements and solid instrumentation. Below you will find another new joint from Melanie Fiona and this time it is her collaboration with Nas entitled "Running."
