Previews: "Verses & Flow" Season 3

I had the pleasure of attending a few of the recordings for TV One's Verses & Flow and while some of the poetry I heard was hit or miss (it's subjective, so you be the judge), most of the musical guests were spot on killing it.

With that said, an official preview for the upcoming third season of Verses & Flow has hit the net and features a preview that includes Jill Scott, Anthony Hamilton, Avant and Bell Biv DeVoe among others. New Joint: "Poison" (V)

Artist-on-the-rise V aka V Bozeman is back with a new joint and this time it is in the form of her own take on the Bell Biv DeVoe classic "Poison." While I wouldn't call it a cover, V's take on the iconic "Poison" takes it to another level and warrants a listen or two from an artist we have already been talking about with her duet with Timothy Bloom ("'till The End of Time") and who I am sure we will continue to talk about as she continues to embark on her solo career. Bell Biv DeVoe took to the stage last night at Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to kick off the beginning of some new music. While they performed their classic"Poison", Bell Biv DeVoe rocked the house like it was back in the early 90s. Check out their performance with The Roots bellow... Enjoy!

Project in the Works: Bell Biv DeVoe

It looks as if Bell Biv DeVoe are planning a comeback for 2011 as they are slated to release some new material. Though they have been on the road for the last few years, the trio recently told Billboard about their plans to release some new music before summer 2011 comes to a close. The group that is best known for their classic hit "Poison" also confirmed that they are scheduled to perform on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, February 23rd. DeVoe remarked that, “they thought it’d be a good idea to bring a classic like ‘Poison’ to the TV screen with the Roots, and we couldn’t hold back on our excitement to play with them.” Here's hoping for another smash like "Poison" will be hitting the airwaves this coming summer. In the meantime, lookout for Bell Biv DeVoe on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon next week!
