A year ago tomorrow, the world lost an icon and creative mind, Mr. Chuck Brown who was a musical pioneer with his work in Go-go and affectionately referred to as "the Godfather of Go-go". Go-go is a subgenre of funk music developed in and around Washington, D.C. in the mid and late 1970s
With that said as we approach the one year march of the loss of this powerhouse pioneer, I thought it would be appropriate to watch a performance of "Hoochie Coochie Man" from Union Station in DC from a few years ago. Watch Brown croon it out below and Enjoy!
