Second Listen: "You Mean the World to Me" (Toni Braxton)
One of my Twitter followers was going off about Toni Braxton's musical brilliance yesterday and I thought it might be nice to (re)visit one of Toni's classic hits "You Mean the World to Me." Lifted as the fourth single in 1994 from Toni Braxton's self-titled debut album Toni Braxton (1993), "You Mean the World to Me" would go onto peak at number seven on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and number three on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.
Written and produced by Antonio "L. A." Reid, Babyface and Daryl Simmons, "You Mean the World to Me" is one of those classic Toni Braxton hits that is often forgotten about within her vast discography. I for one while surfing the net for funny Tamar Braxton moments from Braxton Family Values, rediscovered this classic for myself via Tamar's audition test for Toni's background singers.
With that said, take a first or second listen after the jump to "You Mean the World to Me" and Enjoy!
Bonus: Tamar's "rendition"
