Live Video of the Day: "My Man" (Diana Ross)

Back in 1972 the Billie Holiday biopic "Lady Sings the Blues" was released as well as the accompanying soundtrack which boasted numerous Holiday classics interpreted by Diana Ross.

Though the pairing of these two iconic voices may seem odd on paper, Diana Ross channeled the spirit of "Lady Day," and the accompanying soundtrack to Lady Sings the Blues would go onto become one of Ms. Ross' most successful solo records. With that said, what I would regard as Ms. Ross' best recorded live performance to date would be her 1979 Caesar Palace performance of the classic "My Man."

Dripping with emotion and a sublime vocal performance from Ross, her live cover of this standard is my favorite performance from Diana Ross hands down. Watch it below and as we enter Ms. Ross's birthday month.
