While his Elton John sampled joint "The Man" is burning up the charts, Aloe Blacc stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday to perform his latest single "Can You Do This," which in my mind is reminiscent of some of Bruno Mars' discography.
With that said, "Can You Do This" is featured on his current EP 'Wake Me Up," and will also probably be featured on his forthcoming March 11th album Lift Your Spirit. The reason why Aloe elected to perform "Can You Do This" instead of his hit single "The Man" probably has to do with the fact, as Ellen mentioned, that it will be featured in the new Beats Music commercial starring Ellen herself, which is slated to air during the Super Bowl this Sunday.
