Cut: "Famous" (Jazmine Sullivan)

Jazmine Sullivan dropped her sophomore album Love Me Back, back in November 2010 to much critical acclaim. Much like her debut album, the disc featured lush vocals and strong songs that really showcased both Sullivan's vocal ability and writing.

With that said, I have really been in a Jazmine Sullivan mood as of late and I've been getting back into her sublime contralto vocal range and the emotive powers that her young vocal prowess possess. While she is working on new music now, time will tell when her third album will materialize and until then, I thought it might be nice to (re)visit one of the many gems from her vast discography. Entitled "Famous," the introspective ballad matches strong vocals to powerful words and really proves why we need another Jazmine Sullivan record out here in these streets.
