Today is Jill Scott Appreciation Day as July 18th, 2015 marks fifteen years since Jill Scott released her sublime debut album Who Is Jill Scott?: Words & Sounds Vol. 1 and as we honor the legendary Ms. Scott, I thought it would be appropriate to revisit Jill Scott's first live album Experience: Jill Scott 826+ and the career defining live performance of "Love Rain (Suite)," which for me is the standout from that live set.
While the recorded version of "Love Rain" is a solid cut from Jill's sublime debut album Who Is Jill Scott?: Words & Sounds Vol. 1, the recorded version aptly entitled "Love Rain (Suite)" upped the ante so much on this cut that it stole the entire live recording in my book, becoming a distinct moment is Jill's storied career.
