I've been a fan of Sampha since 2011 when I first heard him on some of SBTRKT's tracks and I am glad that 2013 found him garnering more success and recognition as both an artist and a vocalist.
With that said, 2014 seems tipped to be the year Sampha further breaks out and just a few days ago, Sampha performed during BBC Radio 1 Future Festival 2014. During his set, Sampha opted to perform a smooth solo rendition of his collaboration with Drake, "Too Much."
Featuring just Sampha at a grand piano and his instantly recognizable vocals, Sampha proves that all you need is a good song and a stellar voice to truly captivate an audience even in today's saturated media environment.
Therefore, watch Sampha's powerful performance of "Too Much" below and hopefully 2014 will bring us his highly anticipated debut album.
