Live Video of the Day: "The Star-Spangled Banner" (Marvin Gaye)

As today is the Fourth of July here in the US, I thought I would take it back to the funkiest rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner" ever to be realized in my opinion. Back in 1983 at the NBA All-Star Game, Marvin Gaye let into his now legendary performance of "The Star-Spangled Banner." Though every artist who sings the National Anthem traditionally performs it how it was written, Marvin Gaye turned it into his own soulful opus that had the crowd and viewers up out of their seats grooving. As we all wind down our celebrations here in America, please watch and enjoy this phenomenal performance!
