I don't know how Jennifer Hudson's phenomenal interpretation of the Roberta Flack classic "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" missed my radar but I recently stumbled upon it while surfing YouTube and I have to say, Hudson offers a breathtaking and controlled interpretation of this classic.
Lifted from the 2012 PBS Special "from Dust to Dreams" filmed on Opening Night at "The Smith Center For The Performing Arts" in Las Vegas Nevada, Hudson's powerful cover of Flack's "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" just further proves why Hudson is one of the best voices from this generation.
