"Shine bright like a diamond" is just what Adele and her sophomore album 21 are doing as she just surpassed 10 million records sold in the US. Having sold 28,000 copies this past week, Adele's 21 now stands at 10,020,000 in its 92nd release of release. Having earned 80 weeks in the top 10, Adele's 21 currently slides 31-35 while it spent a total of 24 non-consecutive weeks atop the Billboard 200. With that said, the last album to sell 10 million copies in a shorter span was N Sync's No Strings Attached which scored 10 million sold in 43 weeks back in 2001. Adele's 21 is also the 21st album to sell 10 million copies in the SoundScan era with the last album to cross the diamond status Usher's Confessions.
