The world lost an icon and trailblazer with the passing of Whitney Houston and her mother Cissy Houston garnered the strength to put together a flawless tribute in her honor at this year's BET Awards. Led off with some touching remarks from Mariah Carey and then showered in song by two of her mentes Monica ("I Love The Lord") and Brandy ("I'm You Baby Tonight" & "I Wanna Dance With Somebody"), Cissy then brought the house down with her touching and spirited rendition of the classic "Bridge Over Troubled Water." Afterwords, Houston's co-stars from "Waiting To Exhale," shared their thoughts on Houston, followed by Chaka Khan who raised the roof on "I'm Every Woman."
