A Jimi Hendrix biopic starring Andre 3000 has been in the works for awhile now, but the project was thought to be dead following reports that Hendrix’s estate blocked all use of his music for the film. With that said, it appears as though the film is back on with Irish Film & Television Network mentioned that principle photography for the film is slated to begin at the end of this month. Currently titled "All Is By My Side," the biopic is said to highlight Hendrix’s life in England between 1966-1967. Starring Andre 3000 as Jimi Hendrix, and set to be directed by John Ridley (Three Kings, U-Turn, Undercover Brother), time will tell if "All Is By My Side," could serve as Oscar bait for Andre 3000.
