Remix: "The Bitter Earth/On The Nature of Daylight" (Max Richter & Dinah Washington)

Composer Max Richter created such an epic and somber piece with his remix to Dinah Washington's "This Bitter Earth." Entitled "The Bitter Earth/On The Nature of Daylight," the song is lifted from the "Shuttle Island" soundtrack and is a mash-up of his instrumental "On The Nature of Daylight" and Washington's vocal performance of "This Bitter Earth." Though recorded more then 50 years a part from one another, this collaborative remix is phenomenal and is one of the best remixes/mash-ups that I've heard point blank period.
