A friend and I were talking recently about Deniece Williams and how she is sadly overlooked a lot of the times when people talk about music. Hailing from Gary, Indiana, this songbird is one of the most underrated legends in the game and the single that first put her on many of our radars was her 1976 joint "Free," which was lifted from her debut album debut album "This Is Niecy." Produced by Maurice White from EWF, this is one of those classic 70s joints that warrants a second listen.
