With NBC's Smash was cancelled almost two years ago, I thought it would be nice to reflect on my favorite cover from the show, which is Katharine McPhee's sublime rendition of Snow Patrol's "Run."

With the release of Ed Sheeran's sophomore album x today, I thought it might be nice to revisit one of my favorite covers from Ed. With that said, more than two years ago, Ed performed at an exclusive radio event in the UK for 250 of his fans and during his set, he offered up a sublime rendition of Snow Patrol's classic hit "Chasing Cars."

Interestingly enough, Ed was the opening act for Snow Patrol's then recent North American tour that past spring, though the famed crooner had to drop out early due to personal reasons.

While Lewis has been experimenting with a more uptempo sound for her latest LP Glassheart, she really is best in my opinion on ballads and when she croons out the right ballad it's magic. Her performance below highlights this point and she simple yet powerful rendition of "Run" left the audience speechless and proves why Lewis is held in such estime as a vocalist.
