Katharine McPhee's "Over It" came into my head last night and I thought it might be appropriate, at least for me, to revisit Katharine's lead single "Over It" from her self-titled debut album Katharine McPhee. Eventually going gold, her single "Over It" was written by Josh Alexander, Billy Steinberg,  and Ruth-Anne Cunningham and is a catchy song that brings me right back to 2007.

"Over It" debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 at number 48 on the chart for the week ending February 17, 2007. It peaked at number 29 on the Hot 100 and also peaked at number 21 on Pop Radio.

With NBC's Smash was cancelled almost two years ago, I thought it would be nice to reflect on my favorite cover from the show, which is Katharine McPhee's sublime rendition of Snow Patrol's "Run."

While the arrangement was similar to that of Leona Lewis' McPhee's soulful vocals took the joint in another direction. Take a listen below to Katharine's phenomenal interpretation of "Run" below as we eagerly await some new music and McPhee's anticipated third album.

Amazing Cover: "On Broadway" (Jennifer Hudson & Katharine McPhee)

Last year, NBC's musical drama Smash returned for its second and sadly final season with special guest star Jennifer Hudson. With that said, Jennifer Hudson shared the "stage" with fellow former American Idol contestant Katharine McPhee on the George Benson classic "On Broadway."

Proving to be one of the numerous musical highlights from Smash, I don't know about you, but I miss the show a bit for its musical moments alone. Therefore, listen to the two work it out on "On Broadway" below and Enjoy!
