New Video: "Just a Little" (Gladys Knight)

After releasing her new single "Just a Little" a few weeks ago, Gladys Knight is back with a colorful video for her new single, which leads off her forthcoming twelfth studio album.

Featuring some great young dancers, Gladys's youthful glow is on full effect in her fun and funky video.

“We just wanted to have fun,” Gladys told Billboard about the song. “Most of the singles I’ve released prior to this were ballads. I wanted something we could dance to.”

The Empress of Soul Ms. Gladys Knight is back with some new music to blast through your headphones and speakers with her new song "Just A Little."

Produced by Symbolic "S1" One, who has worked notably with Beyoncé, Kanye West, and Jay-Z amongst others, offers a more contemporary sound for Gladys to groove to.

The chorus for me on "Just A Little" offers a standout moment and I look forward to seeing Gladys hit the talk show circuit to perform "Just A Little" and maybe offer some of her Dancing With the Stars moves to go along with her new sound.

Amazing Cover: "Giving Up" (Jennifer Holliday)

Jennifer Holliday is best known for originating the role of Effie White in the original broadway production of "Dreamgirls," which would later win the powerhouse vocalist both a Tony and a Grammy for her show-stopping number "And I Am Telling You."

While Holliday is still known primarily for this joint, one of my favorite songs in her discography is her cover of the Donny Hathaway hit and Gladys Knight & The Pips original "Giving Up." Having originally been write by Van McCoy and recorded by Gladys Knight & The Pips, Holliday infuses her legendary pipes into this classic and turns it into a near 9 minute soulful opus.

I really miss the "good-old-days" back in the 1980s and 90s when artists were truly friends with one another and often performed with each other during award shows or specials because it was something unique to give to us fans. With that said, after the jump you will find a performance from back in 1987 where Gladys Knight, Etta James, B.B. King, and Chaka Khan came together to cover the legendary "Ain't Nobody's Business," which was a staple in Bessie Smith's act in the 1920s. While Chaka seems to be adrift, she still took it to a higher place where only her vocals can go and you can watch it all go down after the jump!
