Cut: "Forever That Man" (Candice Glover)

Back in 2014, American Idol winner Candice Glover released her debut album Music Speaks and while it didn't get its just due in my opinion as the album is a solid body of work, I still revisit it from time to time.

With that said, earlier today I was doing some work and decided to have Candice's album on in the background and when her cut "Forever That Man" came on I had to take a moment to appreciate her powerhouse and controlled vocals.  Co-written by Glover, "Forever That Man" is a solid ballad that truly deserved the single's treatment as the album only received one single.

As we await new music from Candice, who I assume is no longer with 19, revisit this solid cut below!

Cut: "Damn" (Candice Glover)

Candice Glover's debut album Music Speaks was released over a year and while her single "Cried" has raised her visibility a bit at radio, it seems as though the label has stopped promoting her sublime debut.

With that said, one of my favorite joint from Candice's Music Speaks is  "Damn," which places Candice in the role of 'the other woman' in a relationship singing "damn, I fell in love with someone else's man" throughout the catchy chorus.

While it is clear now that "Damn" will not be the official followup single to "Cried," I think the concept is a unique one and could prove a winner for Candice at radio and on the charts. Therefore, take a listen below to "Damn" and if you like what you hear, cop Candice's debut album Music Speaks, which is in stores now!

Amazing Cover: "You've Changed" (Candice Glover)

While American Idol winner Candice Glover wasn't given her fair shot at stardom in my opinion from her sublime debut Music Speaks, she is arguably one of the best singers to ever grace the Idol stage.

With that said, her cover of the standard made iconic by Billie Holiday, "You've Changed" was one of the numerous breathtaking moments from Candice's sublime run. Therefore, take a few minutes and soak in Candice's sublime performance of "You've Changed" below and Enjoy!

Amazing Cover: "When You Believe" (Candice Glover)

Back during season twelve of American Idol, when Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey served as judges for that season, Candice Glover, who would become the Idol that year performed a riveting rendition of the Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey duet "When You Believe."

Switching up some of the ad-libs to fit her contralto voice, Candice transformed the Oscar-winning duet into a soulful gospel opus that you can check out below and Enjoy!

Amazing Cover: "Lovesong" (Candice Glover)

While Candice Glover's debut album Music Speaks was released earlier this year, back in February, I feel as though her album didn't get as much promotion and attention as her vocal talents warrant the attention that we have given to some less vocally skilled individuals.

With that said, I am often reminded of her haunting cover of The Cure's "Lovesong" during her stint on American Idol and lucky for fans of hers, it found its way into her debut album with a nice new arrangement to match her smokey vocal performance.

Therefore, revisit her aw-inspiring cover of The Cure's "Lovesong" below from her time on American Idol and Enjoy!

Cut: "Damn" (Candice Glover)

Candice Glover's debut album Music Speaks was released almost five months ago on February 18th and while her single "Cried" has raised her visibility a bit at radio, hopefully a new single will be released soon to attract further interest in her solid debut project.

With that said, one of my favorite joint from Candice's Music Speaks is  "Damn," which places Candice in the role of 'the other woman' in a relationship singing "damn, I fell in love with someone else's man" throughout the catchy chorus.

Candice Glover's debut album Music Speaks was released almost a month ago on February 18th and while her single "Cried" has raised her visibility a bit at radio, hopefully the current reigning American Idol will release a new single soon to attract further interest in her solid debut project.

Live Video of the Day: "I Cried/ Same Kinda Man" (Candice Glover)

Yesterday, current American Idol winner Candice Glover returned to the Idol stage to perform her lead single "I Cried" and album cut "Same Kinda Man," to help promote her recently released debut album Music Speaks, which just debuted at #18 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Charts.

Armed with her soulful pipes, Candice belted out a riveting rendition of her Jazmine Sullivan penned single "I Cried" and a smooth performance of potential single "Same Kinda Man."

With that said, watch Candice's performance of "I Cried" and "Same Kinda Man" below and if you haven't picked up Music Speaks, it's worth a listen in my opinion.

Live Clip: "I Cried" (Candice Glover)

Yesterday, Candice Glover stopped by FOX's Good Day LA to help promote her recently released debut album Music Speaks and during her time on the FOX affiliate station, Candice belted out a flawless rendition of "I Cried."

With that said, watch Candice's powerhouse performance of her lead single "I Cried" from her debut album Music Speaks below and if you like what you hear, go out and support her by purchasing a copy of her album and/or single.

New Joint: "Die Without You" (Candice Glover)

Candice Glover released her highly-anticipated debut album Music Speaks yesterday and while she has been performing the set's current single "Cried" during all of her promo for the album, hopefully "Die Without You" will see the single's treatment, if not get some live performances during the promo for Music Speaks.

One of the strongest songs on the album in my opinion, "Die Without You" was composed by Timothy Thomas, Theron Thomas, Jevon Hill and Theodore Thomas and is track two on Music Speaks. Hopefully it will become the set's second official single, but either way, take a listen below to "Die Without You."

Live Clip: "Love Song" (Candice Glover)

With the release of her highly anticipated debut album Music Speaks earlier today, Candice Glover becomes the first female and Black American Idol winner since Jordin Sparks to release a debut album.

Besides this fact, Candice Glover's set features her riveting and dare I say, American Idol-winning performance of The Cure's "Lovesong." Re-imagined as "Love Song," Candice's emotive rendition on the album is just as powerful as her start-turning live performance of it on the Idol stage and luckily for fans of Candice, she has offered up a performance of "Love Song" during a recent visit to Yahoo Music! to promote Music Speaks.

With that said, watch Candice's sublime performance of "Love Song" from said appearance at Yahoo Music! and if you haven't checked out her debut album Music Speaks, it's in-stores now and warrants a listen in my opinion.

Album Preview: "Music Speaks" (Candice Glover)

American Idol winner Candice Glover's debut album Music Speaks is finally slated for release next week on Tuesday, February 18th and ahead of its release, she has partnered up with Yahoo! Music to give fans and casual listeners a first listen/preview to her forthcoming album.

Featuring 90-second previews of each song featured on Music Speaks, the highlights for me just off of the preview have to include her current single "Cried," her cover of The Cure's "Lovesong," "Damn," and the acoustic rendition of her coronation song "I Am Beautiful."

With that said, take a few minutes to listen to this album preview of Music Speaks courtesy of Yahoo! Music below and lookout for the official release of Music Speaks when it's released on Tuesday, February 18th!

Playback: "Damn" (Candice Glover)

Candice Glover's debut album Music Speaks is finally slated for release on February 18th and while her single "Cried" has stalled a bit at radio, hopefully during her forthcoming promotion for the album and a special episode of American Idol dedicated to the recent winner, that more interest will be found for her single and pending album.

With that said, my favorite joint from Candice thus far is the 'leaked' jam "Damn," which places Candice in the role of 'the other woman' in a relationship singing "damn, I fell in love with someone else's man" throughout the catchy chorus.

While it is unclear if "Damn" will be the official followup single to "Cried," I think the concept is a unique one and could prove a winner for Candice at radio and on the charts. Therefore, take a listen below to "Damn" and if you like what you hear, cop Candice's debut album Music Speaks later this month when it's released February 18th!

Live Clip: "If Only You Knew/Somebody Loves You Baby" (Patti LaBelle ft. Candice Glover)

This past Friday during Super Bowl weekend, Patti LaBelle headlined the 15th annual Super Bowl Gospel Celebration and during the concert, Candice Glover and Patti LaBelle shared the stage on a powerhouse rendition of some of Patti's classic hits.

Opening with "If Only You Knew," which then melded into fan favorite "Somebody Loves You Baby," the legendary Patti LaBelle and American Idol winner Candice Glover offered up a riveting one-in-a-lifetime performance.

With that said, watch the powerful live performance of Patti LaBelle and Candice Glover's renditions of "If Only You Knew" and "Somebody Loves You Baby" below and Enjoy!

Amazing Cover: "Inseparable" (Candice Glover & Jennifer Hudson)

With her debut album Music Speaks slated for release on February 18th, I thought it would be nice to revisit one of my favorite performances from Candice during her time on last season's American Idol.

With that said, during the season finale of season twelve of American Idol,  Candice Glover and Jennifer Hudson duetted to the tune of Natalie Cole's "Inseparable" and they literally blew the roof off of the Nokia Theater at LA Live.

Sharing the stage on this powerful duet, the American Idol winner Glover and Oscar-and-Grammy winner Hudson really need to record a duet together as their voices together = mind-blowing. Peep it below and Enjoy!
