While Ariana Grande is currently burning up the charts with her new joint "Problems," which slodes from 3 to 4 on the Billboard Hot 100, after its huge debut last week, Ariana decided to surprise her fans by dropping the studio version of fan favorite cut "Boyfriend Material."
Originally recorded when she was 17 and starting out the process of putting together her debut album Yours Truly, fans were a bit disappointed when it was left off of the final tracklisting, but Ariana has released it to help honor and celebrate her fans' support.
Posted on her personal YouTube account, Ariana stated the following about leaking the studio quality rendition of "Boyfriend Material."
a little surprise for my loves as a thank you for all of your constant love, support and dedication. i know how much y'all love this song and how disappointed you were when it didn't make it on to my first album so i knew i had to get it to you somehow someday. this song means a lot to me and holds such a special place in my heart as it was one of the first songs i did when i started working on 'yours truly' when i was like 17 ..... don't worry... you'll get more of these oldies too as time goes on! I'm working on it for you. love you all so much. you are everything. love you. With that said, take a listen below to "Boyfriend Material" below and lookout for Ariana's currently untitled sophomore album when it's released this summer.
