Earlier today, India.Arie debuted the second single from her forthcoming SoulBird/Motown LP SongVersation. Entitled "Brother's Keeper," the mid-tempo is a powerful joint from the Grammy-winning singer/songwriter that touches upon being there for the brothas in her life and is truly a needed message with all of the current events that have been going on. India.Arie even opened up a bit about the song and her album to Billboard.
"It's been my joy to sing songs songs with empowerment themes all my career, SongVersation is the same, maybe even more so," India.Arie tells Billboard's The Juice. "This song, "Brothers Keeper," is about us as women, supporting the men in our lives; sons, brothers, husbands, lovers, nephews, friends - in that way, that only a woman can.
