Back in 1968, Patti LaBelle & The Bluebelles took to national TV to perform their original breakout hit "Over the Rainbow," which was aptly the title of the group's first studio album. Having originally been released in 1965, "Over the Rainbow" became a standard for Patti LaBelle & The Bluebelles and even to this day is a song often found within a Patti LaBelle setlist as it has become more than a standard for Ms. LaBelle's legion of fans.
