The 16th season of Vh1 Storytellers is around the corner and Grammy winner Jill Scott is slated to opened up this years' crop of episodes on May 21st. In addition to Scott's episode, Jason Mraz, Nora Jones, and Grace and the Nocturnals find themselves included in this year's lineup. With that said, Tom Calderone released a statement about the forthcoming season that is sure to bring some memorable performance.

"Our audience is hungry for the kind of deeper musical experience and connection to artists that Storytellers brings. That connection has cemented the series’ status as a jewel of the entertainment world where artists intimately share their music and the often revealing and poignant stories behind their songs."
While time will tell if Scott's performance will offer some new material from her rumored forthcoming fifth album, I am just glad Jill is being included in the series.
